Functionality of The Cell

To notify students on courses offered under MOOCS by Swayam, Coursera, EdX, etc.
To counsel the students on suitability of the courses for their career advancement.
To notify members of the faculty on Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) offered through MOOCS through emails and display of SWAYAM NPTEL banners in the college premises.
To nominate mentors for courses and coordinate between mentors and students.
To notify students and faculty members about examination registration and examination dates, modes, etc.
To collate the results of students and generate management information reports.
To collect information of online courses completed by students and faculty members.

Role and Responsibilities

Coordinator

To coordinate between members of the cell, students, faculty members and management for various operations regarding online courses. The coordinator is Single Point of Contact (SPOC) of NPTEL and coordinates with NPTEL regarding the courses offered by NPTEL. He is the faculty member from department of IT.

Faculty Members

To coordinate between coordinator, students and faculty members of the respective departments. Member from BSHU department looks after the courses taken up by first year students of all the departments. The members are responsible to verify the MOOCS data uploaded by the students at the MAKAUT portal
