Entrepreneurship Development Cell + Skill Development

Functionality of The Cell
  • To develop a strong network of entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, senior professionals and individuals directly or indirectly associated with entrepreneurship
  • To educate enterprising students in the essentials of starting a business within the realm of modern technology usage for societal development
  • To conduct research work and survey for identifying entrepreneurial opportunities (particularly in S&T areas and Service sector)
  • To conduct skill development training programs/entrepreneurship awareness programs/field visits/expert interactions leading to self/wage employment
  • To foster linkages between the institute with MSME (Govt. of India)/Industries/R&D institutions in promoting Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs)
  • To assist the incubates in creating a sustainable, scalable & profitable business model
  • To aware the students about the various Government schemes/programs/activities on entrepreneurship
  • Laboratories with computer systems with high-speed broadband connectivity for carrying out innovative projects/research work and trying out innovative ideas
  • Seminar hall for organizing skill development training programs/entrepreneurship awareness programs/field visits/expert interactions

Coordinator

  • To coordinate with the members of the cell, students, faculty members and management for various activities
  • To coordinate with other members to arrange skill development training programs/ entrepreneurship awareness programs /field visits/expert interactions in the college
  • Set clear goals and objectives for the cell aligned with the institution’s vision on entrepreneurship
  • Plan, organize, and oversee entrepreneurship-related activities, workshops, seminars, competitions, and awareness programs
  • Ensure timely execution and proper management of all events
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively and monitor progress regularly
  • Facilitate mentorship opportunities for student entrepreneurs by connecting them with industry experts and successful entrepreneurs
  • Maintain detailed records of all activities, achievements, and communications
  • Ensure that the EDC operates within institutional policies and guidelines
  • To coordinate between the institute with and external stakeholders such as industry experts, incubators, investors, government bodies, and alumni entrepreneur

Faculty Members

  • To identify the students with entrepreneurial ideas and innovation
  • To identify successful entrepreneurs from the college alumni in each department and get their contact details
  • Maintain record of student participation in entrepreneurial activities for each department
  • Offer academic and practical guidance on entrepreneurship and related subjects
  • Organize and conduct workshops, training sessions, and guest lectures to build entrepreneurial skills among students
  • Leverage professional networks to connect students with entrepreneurs, industry experts, investors, and incubation centers

Student Members

  • Brainstorm and contribute innovative business ideas or startup concepts
  • Participate in ideation sessions and workshops to refine entrepreneurial ideas
  • Assist in organizing entrepreneurship-related events such as workshops, seminars, guest lectures and competitions
  • Help establish connections with local startups, entrepreneurs, industry experts, and investors
  • Support fellow students in developing their startup ideas or business plans
  • Conduct research on startup trends, funding opportunities, and government schemes for entrepreneurs
  • Motivate and encourage other students to explore entrepreneurial ventures
  • Help identify potential sponsors and partners for events and activities
  • Assist in preparing proposals or presentations to secure funding or support
