Functionality of The Cell

Publication of Time table for all four years and five departments at the onset of each semester.
Modification of the existing time table as per the needs of the institute if the onset of a semester for a particular year is delayed due to university regulations.
Publication of special time table as and when required by the institute / department.
Room allotment for classes and curriculum laboratories in accordance with the published time table.
The cell meets once per semester for an overall scrutiny before the publication of time table.

Role and Responsibilities

Coordinator

Collection of load document of all departments from the Principal’s office and distribution among members of the cell.
Coordination with Principal and other higher authorities of the institute and dissemination of special instructions or information, crucial for preparation of the time table, among the cell members.
Checking for overlap of Library, Extra-curricular activities, MOOCs, Mentoring, Remedial classes and Sports classes before publication of the time table.
Maintaining the overall quality of the time table keeping in view all the standard regulations prevalent at the institute.
Convey and arrange meeting of the cell for overall scrutiny before publication of the time table.
Collection of signed tentative time table from all departments, consultation with Principal for modification, if any, and filing of the said document.
Publication of the time table for the semester, getting it signed by the Principal and filing the original copy after dissemination among all departments.
Coordination for special time table as and when required by the institute.
Submit annual report to the Principal’s office.

Member

Collect the load of all faculty members and TA of the department and submit it to the Principal’s office.
Receive load document of all departments from the cell coordinator.
Prepare the section of the time table pertaining to his/her department in coordination with other departments so as to avoid any type of overlap of class timings or teachers.
Meticulously include classes like Library, Extra-curricular activities, MOOCs, Mentoring, Remedial classes and Sports within the time table in consultation with the HoD.
Before publishing, circulate the tentative time table in the department for awareness and get it signed by all faculty members after checking their classes and get it checked and signed by HoD. Submit the signed tentative time table to the coordinator.
Prepare room allotment for the departmental classes in accordance with the published time table.
Prepare special departmental time table as and when required.
